Newly created marketing posts add strength to BPEX

The BPEX marketing team has been strengthened by the appointment of a two new staff members covering communication and brand activities.

The new communications manager is Jane Charlesworth while the new brand manager is Carrie McDermid, both appointments coming after the completion of a full organisational review and the development of a new BPEX marketing strategy.

Previously with the specialist food communications agency, Pelican PR, Ms Charlesworth, has worked on developing, delivering and monitoring communication plans against set key performance indicators, while also managing and implementing strategic and tactical activities.

Ms McDermid was previously a brand innovation manager at Boots and the Happy Egg Co.  She also has a practical link with the industry as her grandfather and uncles are all pig farmers.

BPEX head of marketing, Kirsty Walker, said: “I am delighted to welcome Jane and Carrie to the team. They bring the skills we need on the team and they both have very relevant experience of working in the food industry.”
