DanBred sets up subdivision in Germany

Pig breeding company DanBred has announced the it has set up a new subsidiary in Germany, DanBred GmbH, which came into effect on 1 May 2020.

The subsidiary will ensure the continuous supply of breeding animals to the German market, maintain a clear DanBred identity and profile in the country and be better equipped to service customers with a wide range of service solution offerings.

The move is in line with the company’s focus on forming and consolidating a structure of customer-centric subsidiaries and agents throughout Europe.  The establishment of the German subsidiary has come to pass in collaboration with DanBred agent Fenker & Hellebusch, and hopes to ensure growth, continuity and a solid understanding of how the German market works.

Thomas Muurmann Henriksen, CEO of DanBred, says: “Germany is a key market for us, and we see a massive potential in the country. With DanBred GmbH we are strengthening our local position and presence, allowing us to better supply both genetic products and service solutions, which will ultimately benefit our customers”.

“We are delighted to be teaming up with Fenker & Hellebusch. Our collaboration goes back more than 25 years, and we are pleased to continue and expand our cooperation. Fenker & Hellebusch and DanBred’s combined knowledge of the German market will be invaluable in supporting local customers with a service that is second to none, and we look forward to helping many more German pig producers experience what DanBred can do for them.”
