RSPCA Assured begins TV advertising campaign

An advert to promote RSPCA Assured, that features the voice of actor John Hurt, will be shown appear on TV screens from this week. It wil be shown on Channel 4 – during episodes of Sunday Brunch – and E4, More4, Film4 and Dave.

Freedom Food hopes its new RSPCA Assured label on meat, eggs and fish will help improve the lives of about 100 million more farm animals, plus many millions of salmon and trout in the next five years. And the TV ad should plays a vital role in helping to achieve this goal.

“The catchy combination of poetry, animation and a familiar and well-loved voice is designed to engage, educate and encourage viewers to buy RSPCA Assured labelled food,” RSPCA Assured marketing manager Liam Kurzeja said.

“The more people are aware of RSPCA Assured and choose the products, the more supermarkets will stock them and more farm animals will have a better life.”

And with 96% recognition of the RSPCA brand, Freedom Food estimates the amount of RSPCA Assured labelled food could increase by as much as 200% in the next five years due to an increase in consumer demand.

The TV ad will be supported by online and Facebook advertising, and the food website www.foodnetwork.co.uk will host RSPCA Assured recipes and feature RSPCA Assured in a newsletter to its subscribers.
