The first in a series of Pigs Tomorrow webinars will take place next week, bringing industry experts together to discuss ‘preparing for and preventing African swine fever’ (ASF).
The webinar will take place on Tuesday, April 28, from 10-11am, amid the continuing spread of ASF in Europe, Asia and Africa and ongoing concerns about the UK’s border controls.
Moderated by Pig World editor Alistair Driver, the webinar will feature:
- Dr Paul Talling, biosecurity advisor, Livetec Systems
- Katie Jarvis, NPA chief policy adviser
- Miranda Poulson, AHDB senior animal health & welfare scientist
They will discuss:
- The current ASF landscape and what it means for UK producers
- Industry-wide prevention strategies and contingency planning
- Practical biosecurity measures you can implement immediately
There will also be the opportunity to ask the panel questions.

- The event will be recorded, meaning you will be able to view if you can’t join live.
