The National Pig Awards are once again supporting the Farming Community Network, adding to the £20,000 you have raised for the fantastic charity during previous events.
Great prizes, kindly donated by principal award sponsor ForFarmers, are on offer in a raffle. To take part you simply need to visit the National Pig Awards website and click on the link to donate any amount to FCN – you will then be entered into a draw to win the following prizes (some of which will become available once current restrictions are lifted!):
- 2 night stay in London for two, with hotel, breakfast, evening meal river cruise
- 1 night country hotel break with dinner and The Bombay Sapphire distillery self discovery tour
- 1 night escape in an Eco-pod with unlimited golf for two

The deadline for taking part is Tuesday, November 24, and the winners will be announced in the December issue of Pig World.
About FCN
FCN is a voluntary organisation and charity that supports farmers and families within the farming community through difficult times.
It has over 400 volunteers, located throughout England and Wales, many of whom are involved in farming, or have close links with agriculture and therefore have a great understanding of the issues farm workers and farming families regularly face. These volunteers provide free, confidential, pastoral and practical support to anyone who seeks help, regardless of whether the issue is personal or business-related.
In addition to local groups of volunteers, FCN runs a confidential national helpline and e-helpline which is open every day of the year from 7am-11pm. The helpline receives approximately 100-150 calls every month.
“Our volunteers will ‘walk with’ anyone who seeks support and help them find a positive way through their problems – for as long as it is needed. We have helped thousands of people deal with a variety of issues, including financial difficulties, animal disease, mental health and family disputes,” FCN said.
“FCN relies solely on donations and grants in order to continue supporting the farming community. With British farming facing deep uncertainty in the coming years, the workload of FCN volunteers is expected to increase significantly.”
