HIPRA has announced that Jon McKechnie, who was with A-One Feeds, has joined its UK team as a species technician.
Jon brings with him more than 15 years industry experience, having worked both on farm and in the allied industry. He has first-hand experience of best practice on farm, having worked as a stockman, and understands how the allied industry can support producers in maximising performance, HIPRA said.
He is a vice chair of the Young NPA, a role in which he is a passionate advocate for encouraging collaboration between all those in the sector and which highlights his ability to build relationships to support his peers and the wider pig sector.
Jon said, “I am delighted to have joined HIPRA and to be working as part of the team at this innovative, forward thinking and solutions orientated business. Working with clients to support them in achieving optimum herd health and performance is a hugely rewarding role and I am excited to get started.”
