We’re recruiting for a Pig Stockperson for an outdoor farm in Norfolk, PE31.
The family-run business has been established for over 30 years. They have an outdoor breeding unit that supplies 9-kilo piglets. Piglets are weaned at 5 weeks. All gilt replacements are produced in-house. The pigs are kept on grass and are fed in long troughs via Bachman auger feeders. The two units are Red Tractor and Freedom Food monitored.
Job Description
- Farrowing paddock management
- Feeding dry sows
- Timely serving of sows using AI
- Record keeping
- Strawing up pigs
- Weaner gilt management
- Tractor driving
- Trailer and loader work
Person specifications
- Must have pig experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiasm to be a team player
- A passion to generate high levels of performance and welfare
- Good standards of tidiness and personal organisation
Salary: £28,500 – £30,500 DOE
Plus:

- 29 days holiday
Hours:
40 hours Monday – Friday plus 8 hours every other weekend.
