Pig Stockperson – Ref 1773 Aberdeenshire

We’re recruiting for a Pig Stockperson for an indoor farm in Aberdeenshire, AB51.

The farm has continued to invest in the business, resulting in more efficient, modern management practices.

The chosen candidate will work with the team covering all duties associated with the 500-sow indoor unit, from breeding to finishing.

Person Specification: 

• Entry-level candidates – ideally, you will have some pig/livestock experience, but training can be given
• Experienced candidates – Must be confident in the management of all aspects of breeding pigs, from AI to farrowing
• Good attention to detail
• Must be able to work as a team
• Must demonstrate high standards of animal welfare
• Have maintenance skill knowledge
• Experience with tractors & telehandlers would be helpful, but not essential

Salary guide: £30,000 DOE

Hours:

• 07:30 – 16:45 with 1.25 hours worth of breaks
