Cargill UK’s pig nutrition team has appointed Katie Stephen as a technical sales specialist.
Based in Staffordshire, she will provide nutritional advice to pig producers across the UK and supporting the Cargill sales team with the new NeopiggMax starter feed range. She will also be heading up technical sales for Cargill’s growing range of pig feed additives, promoting their use and benefits in piglet, grower, finisher and sow diets.
After graduating in Animal Sciences from the University of Aberdeen, Katie completed a Master of Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh. As part of this, she carried out an industry focused research project into the environmental impacts of dietary protein sources on pig production systems, specifically UK grown proteins.
In the past nine years, Katie has gained commercial and technical experience in leading UK and international nutrition companies, including Trouw and more recently ForFarmers. Her roles have included sales and technical manager for the UK and Europe.
