Emily Hughes has been appointed field service manager for Zoetis covering both the pig and poultry sectors.
Over the past nine years Ms Hughes has gained wide experience across the poultry meat and egg industry since gaining a degree in Agri-Food Marketing and Business Studies at Harper Adams University in Shropshire and taking part in the NFU Poultry Industry Programme and the British Poultry Council scholarship scheme.
After working part-time on a Shropshire broiler unit during her final scholarship year she became part of St David’s poultry veterinary field service team in Devon for two years and then became poultry health specialist with Clive Soanes Broilers in East Yorkshire.
For the last two years she has been with Morrisons as producer support specialist working closely with egg suppliers to help ensure best practice and drive continuous improvement. She also helped to drive the company’s Next Generation scheme where its young suppliers across both livestock and egg sectors visit manufacturing sites through the year.
“We are delighted to welcome Emily to our team,’ said James Porritt, Zoetis UK’s pig and poultry lead.
“Her wealth of experience and enthusiasm will definitely provide our pig and poultry customers with the support they deserve in using our products.”
