Pork dish wins breakfast award

BBQ Pulled Pork Benedict has been named the Most Innovative Breakfast in the HGCA’s Best Breakfast Awards.

The dish, served by the Tried and True café in Putney, won the title as part of the HGCA’s Farmhouse Breakfast Week 2014. 

The HGCA’s Karen Levy, said the campaign provided a busy week of events all over the UK.

“Each year we receive fantastic support from the industry and this allows us to spread breakfast messages further each year,” she said. “The new concept of having the Best Breakfast Awards has really helped to encourage consumers to shake up their wake up and enjoy the most important meal of the day.”

The awards, which were new for 2014, received thousands of votes from around the UK.
