Farming Ambassadors sought for Countryfile Live

A call has gone out for Farming Ambassadors to help out at next month’s Countryfile Live event at Blenheim Palace, in Oxfordshire.

AHDB is looking for farmers who can represent the sector and help out at the event which, in its second year, will take place from Thursday, August 3 to Sunday, August 6.

Participating farmers will be provided with free admission, lunch and an ‘Ask a Farmer’ t-shirt. There will also be a small payment per day for the farmer to cover expenses.

If you would like to be involved, please email your contact details and preferred dates to [email protected]

Last year, an estimated 130,000 people visited the show over the four days. The pig tent, including live pigs, was popular with the public, with farmers and industry representatives on hand to answer questions.

Ladies in Pigs (LIPS) were a big hit, too, dishing out tasters – including new one pot recipes and chocolate and bacon brownies – to thousands of visitors.
