Inspired by the East Anglian pig farmer of the same name, the accolade is awarded to an individual or organisation that has made an outstanding impact on the British pig sector during the course of their work.
It was presented at the National Pig Awards for the first time last year to NPA chairman Richard Lister in recognition of the leadership he has shown in the drive to reduce antibiotic use.
The award, sponsored by AHDB, has been honouring exceptional contributions from across the industry, including producers, processors, academics and the allied industry, for over 60 years.
