Dr Craig Lewis has been appointed as PIC’s commercial director for the UK, Ireland, Poland, Scandinavia and the Baltic states.
Craig, who has held the role of PIC’s genetic services manager for Europe since 2013, brings a wealth of experience and deep knowledge of swine genetics to his new role.
He has been vocal in promoting the benefits of gene editing in the UK and Europe, as new legislation is being drafted, and has appeared on various public platforms over the years.
PIC said it was expanding its strategic capabilities in the UK and across northern and eastern Europe as part of its ‘continued commitment to delivering greater potential for success to our customers’.
Craig said he was ‘honoured to take on this role at a time of exciting progress in our industry’. “I look forward to working closely with our teams and customers to ensure PIC continues to provide the right genetics and support to help pig producers meet the challenges ahead,” he said.
