The next British Pig & Poultry Fair will take place in May 2022, rather than May 2021 as had been provisionally planned.
Following the cancellation of the 2020 event due to COVID-19, provisional dates for were announced for May 2021. But in an update on Friday, Alice Belk, head of technical events at Grandstand Stoneleigh Events announced that the event has now been set for May 11 and 12, 2022, at NAEC Stoneleigh.
The Fair will then remain on it’s biennial cycle with the following Fairs taking place in May 2024, May 2026 and so on.
“As the COVID situation has developed it has became increasingly clear to the RASE Trustees that the most sensible and secure plan of action for all concerned is to schedule the next live Fair for May 2022,” Ms Bell wrote.
“While we all want to be able to bring the industry together to exchange ideas and information at the event we know and love, we simply can not risk the cancellation of another Fair.”
The organisers are looking into the possibility of an online event in 2021.
