NOAH app opens info door on 1000+ animal medicines

A new app which gives users the ability to access information on over 1000 animal medicines has been launched by the National Office of Animal Health (NOAH).

Unveiled during the recent London Vet Show, the app is available for both Apple and Android phones, with frequent updates being promised to ensure all information is current and relevant.

A key feature to the new app is its ability to scan datamatrix barcodes on veterinary medicinal product packaging to take users straight to product information, all linked to NOAH’s compendium data website.

“It is essential we fully utilise the information offered in the compendium with modern technology, whilst protecting the integrity and respect that it holds,” said NOAH’s chief executive, Dawn Howard (pictured above).

“The website, which we relaunched earlier this year, has had over 8.5 million views to date. We feel this app serves as a great addition to this method of accessing data, meaning users are no longer reliant on internet access to obtain the information they need.

“As an organisation, we will continue to embrace new technologies to ensure animal medicine is used correctly and responsibly in the UK.”

The NOAH Compendium app is available free of charge in the App Store and on Googleplay
