The National Pig Awards are all about celebrating the very best of the British pig industry – and this year you can nominate a person or business you think deserves recognition.
This year’s event will, once again, see 15 National Pig Awards handed out at a gala ceremony in London in November that will bring the pig industry together for its biggest night of the year.
You can still enter in the usual way, by completing the application form for the relevant categories. But this year, we are also encouraging you to nominate in any of the categories where you think a business or individual has excelled.
And, please note, whether you are entering yourself or nominating someone else, our awards team can help complete the application. So, there is no reason not put yourself or someone else forward!

Showcasing great work
These awards are now in their 12th year and, over the years, they have highlighted the great work done by so many winners and finalists, and inspired others. For some winners, the profile and prestige has seen them go on to greater things.
We were proud to see our 2024 Young Pig Farmer of the Year, Clementine Milton, and Trainee of the Year Toni Bagguley fly the flag for the British pig industry and highlight what a great sector it is to work in, as part of the Pigs Tomorrow Young Guns panel in May.
Head judge Stewart Houston highlighted the benefits of entering. “The winners have been such great ambassadors for the industry – and we so often hear how just being a finalist, let alone winning, gives such a lift to the individuals or teams involved,” he said.
“If you are considering giving it a go, I would really encourage you to do so. Or if you think someone else deserves that recognition, please nominate. All finalists receive two free tickets to the big night.”
What it means to win
“It’s fantastic to win this award. I don’t come from a farming background, so to fall into the pig industry, almost by accident, and then to enjoy it so much and find so many passionate people that also put all their time and effort into the job, is just incredible.”
Clementine Milton, 2024 Young Pig Farmer of the Year
