We’re recruiting for a Dry Sow Stockperson to support the farrowing house on a high-performing pig farm, North Yorkshire (YO7).
Our client is a successful 500-sow breeder-finisher unit in the heart of North Yorkshire, seeking an experienced and dependable stockperson to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage dry sow housing with excellent welfare, feeding, and health monitoring.
- Support farrowing house operations.
- General unit duties: vaccination, record-keeping, cleaning, and maintenance to keep our productive herd thriving.
- Work collaboratively in a supportive environment with plenty of variety.
About You:
- Experience with dry sows and supporting farrowing preferred.
- Training can be provided.
- Practical pig husbandry skills.
- Reliable, proactive, and animal-focused with a can-do attitude.
- Full UK driving licence; own transport helpful but not essential.
