We’re recruiting for an experienced Pig Stockperson for a farm in Aberdeenshire, AB41.
The mixed farming business is family-owned, with the pig unit established in 2021. They have a passion to invest and build a farm for the future.
The chosen candidate will work on an indoor pig unit with 450 sows. Weekly farrowing around 300 piglets, which are all finished on the farm. Breeding their own replacements. Mix of slats and straw-based housing, with a mix of dry and wet feed systems.
The job can be flexible to suit candidates’ interests, but will focus on dry sow, bacon pig management and/or feed mill.
Person Specification:Â
- Good attention to detail
- Must be able to work as a team
- Must demonstrate high standards of animal welfare
- Machinery knowledge is beneficial, but not essential. Forklift training can be provided
Salary guide: £30,000 – £40,000 DOE

Hours:
- Typically, 10-hour days with an hour break included
