Cranswick has completed the acquisition of the Fridaythorpe feed mill from AB Agri to help deliver its strategic goal of increasing self-sufficiency in pig feed production.
The Hull-based pig and poultry producer announced it had agreed to purchase the mill, located near Driffield in East Yorkshire, in July, and the transaction hss now been completed.
The Fridaythorpe mill has been a key part of ABN’s northern operations since 1998, with a strong track record in producing both pig and poultry feed.
The acquisition complements Cranswick’s existing feed mills in Norfolk, Suffolk, and Lincolnshire, ‘enhancing our production capabilities and reinforcing our commitment to British agriculture’, it said.
“We are delighted to welcome the Fridaythorpe team to the Cranswick family and look forward to continuing to deliver excellence in feed production as part of our vertically integrated farming operations,” the company said.
