Roadhogs Recruitment, the UK’s only specialist pig farming recruiter, has appointed Simon Withers as its new general manager.
With decades of experience in the agricultural sector, Mr Withers has previously held roles at Kingshay, as Business Development Manager, and at Arla Foods. His new position sees him take responsibility for developing new strategies, promoting pig farming and continuing to build on Roadhogs Recruitment’s reputation.
Mr Withers said:Â “Roadhogs has an unrivalled reputation in the sector, and the appointment represents an excellent opportunity for me. Throughout my agricultural career, I have always been really interested in the pig sector, continually building my knowledge and properly understanding the sector’s challenges and future opportunities. With my farmer-facing experience and organisational and people skills, I can positively impact our producer customers and wider team.
“My immediate objective is to properly understand the business from end to end whilst looking for opportunities to strategically build our core business, which includes working out how to retain and attract new talented people into the pig farming sector. I also plan to develop the reach of the Roadhogs Recruitment brand whilst looking for additional growth channels, delivering value and excellent customer service to our clients.”
