The NPA is seeking nominations for the 2026 Allied Industry Member of the Year and Chris Brant Awards.
NPA Allied Industry Member of the Year
Producer members can nominate companies, which must be NPA Allied Industry members, or, for the first time, outstanding individuals who work for them.
The NPA is looking for companies or individuals who are making a wider positive contribution to the industry.
Members need to send nominations to NPA@npanet.org.uk by Monday, July 20.
A shortlist will be announced in the August issue of Pig World, and online voting for the winner will begin on the Pig World website.
The award was won last year by the United Pig Cooperative, which came out on top from a shortlist that also included Harper Adams University, Phillips Animal Health and Quality Equipment.
Chris Brant Award
You can also nominate now for the 2026 NPA Chris Brant Award, recognising those who have ‘gone the extra mile’ for the industry over the past 12 months.
The winner could be a well-known figure who has done something exceptional or one of the pig industry’s many unsung heroes who have selflessly played a key role in supporting the industry as goes through another extremely difficult period.
Won last year by AHDB sustainability and engagement manager Zanita Markham for her ‘vital contributions’ to the sustainability of pig businesses and the wider pig sector, the winner will again be announced at the National Pig Awards in London in November.

“This award recognises the, often unseen, contribution to the industry an individual or organisation has made over the past year, over and above their day job,” NPA chief executive Lizzie Wilson said.
“There have been some fantastic winners in the past, who have all demonstrated a passion and commitment to the pig industry, many of whom aren’t well known and quietly do what they do without realising the real impact they have on others’ lives and businesses.”
