The deadline to get National Pigs Awards entries in has been extended by two weeks to ensure everybody who wishes to enter has the opportunity to do so.
The new closing date is Monday, July 13.
“If you were planning to enter or nominate but needed more time, this extension gives you the opportunity to complete and submit your application. We encourage you to take advantage of the additional time and ensure your achievements are recognised,” the awards team said.
You can still enter by:
- Completing the application form for the relevant categories on the awards website.
- Or by nominating a business or individual you think has excelled. You can nominate on the awards website or by emailing Meghan.Taylor@markallengroup.com with a few details on who you are nominating and why.
And, please note, whether you are entering yourself or nominating, our awards team can help complete the application.
This year’s event will see 14 National Pig Awards handed out at a gala ceremony in London, in November, showcasing the very best of the British pig industry.
The one change this year is the introduction of the Farm Initiative of the Year, recognising businesses that have established exciting new projects, whether, for example, an infrastructure investment, a pig health or welfare or sustainability project or a staff initiative.
Head judge Stewart Houston said: “If you are still wavering, I really urge you to give a go – you still have time!
“Over the years, winning, or even just being a finalist, has given so many talented individuals and ambitious businesses the boost and leg-up they deserve. And don’t forget, all finalists receive two free tickets to the big night!”
