Full British Pig and Poultry Fair forum programme confirmed

The full British Pig and Poultry Fair (BPPF) forum programme has been published on the event’s website, featuring some important and useful discussions for visitors.

The event takes place at the NEC, in Birmingham, on May 13 and 14. Pig programme highlights include the traditional outlook session, featuring Fabio Brancher, Pilgrims Europe’s operational director and Ellie Wotherspoon, agriculture and sustainable sourcing manager at McDonald’s.

There will be a focus on how the pig sector should address the ongoing ‘communications battle’, featuring two of the UK’s leading experts in the field and two prominent pig farmers.

There will be sessions on ASF prevention and preparedness, the Animal Health and Welfare Pathway, global pork markets and pork recipe inspiration.

The Innovation programme will feature a varied range of on-farm topics, from pig buildings and battery storage for solar energy to nutrition and gut health, biosecurity and the use of biomarkers.
