The Ceva Swine team launched an innovative new pig vaccination device at this week’s British Pig & Poultry Fair (BPPF).
The EASI smart injector device as extensively demonstrated at the company’s busy stand over over the two days by Ceva Smart Solutions technical & marketing manager Pablo Del Carmen.
The open smart needle device really helps facilitate the work schedule on farm and significantly improves the quality and safety during both essential treatments and vaccination sessions, according to the company.
The EASI device’s features include:
- Fully open treatment device
- Full traceability and recording
- Accurate vaccination report
- Controlled dosing on farm.
Ceva said the injector can be beneficial for key functions and people within the pig production operation, all the way from the farm owner to the farm manager and vaccination team, as well as the most important participant, the pig being treated or vaccinated.
The Ceva Swine team said they were looking forward to implementing and supporting the EASI device with a number of pig producers over the coming months.
