The Pigs Tomorrow Conference takes place this Tuesday and Wednesday at Hinckley, in Leicestershire.
While the event, organised by Pig World and AHDB, is taking place at an incredibly difficult time for the industry, we hope that it will, after a long hiatus, enable people to come together, discuss the current situation and look to the future.
The programme
The Day One programme has been updated to reflect the current situation. Following a global pig market overview, the US perspective and some insight into the Far East, Defra Minister Victoria Prentis will deliver a short video presentation.
The NPA’s Rob Mutimer and AHDB’s Duncan Wyatt will then give an update on the current situation in the UK, followed by a view from the supply chain, with speakers from Cranswick and Pilgrim’s.
Day Two will focus on certain key hot topics, including the future of farrowing systems, pig health, Red Tractor and the environmental challenge.

COVID Requirements
We will be asking for proof of your double vaccination or a photo of a negative lateral flow test (no earlier than 24 hours before the event).
Although we wont be asking for proof of a lateral flow if you have been double vaccinated, we strongly encourage also doing a lateral flow test before attending the conference.
If you are feeling unwell or have any symptoms please do not attend the event. Please do let me know if you are no longer able to attend

How to download the App:
- Go onto the app store and search for ‘Attendify’, please download this App.
- Once you have downloaded the app it will ask you to set up an account. This information will be kept private as this is a private app.
- It may ask you to verify your email address
- Once you have created your account it will ask for an event code which is PT21
- Please then click ‘Join’ which will give you access to the event at the bottom of the screen.
