Pig farmers in the north of England have been invited to take part in Just Farmers’ latest media education workshop in Harrogate on May 12 and 13.
Just Farmers provides free media education to farmers and connects them with members of the media. It has so far provided fully-funded media education training to 144 farmers and growers across the UK, including pig farmers from a range of production systems.
“Our aim is to bridge the rural / urban divide through the media by helping farmers across the UK become better storytellers,” said COO Emily Davies.
“We will be bringing our work to Harrogate on May 12 and 13, working in partnership with the Yorkshire Agricultural Society to hold a free media education workshop for farmers across the North of England (Northumberland, Cumbria, County Durham, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Greater Manchester). We are looking for farmers to apply!”
The network, whose work is charitably funded by a number of foundations, has provided training to 144 farmers since its foundation in 2018.
