Hermitage AI Ltd. operates boar studs and supplies services to pig producers throughout the UK. We have a full-time vacancy available in our Boar Stud at Willingham in Cambridge.
We require an experienced Pig Farm Stockperson as an Assistant Manager for our Boar Stud in Cambridge (CB24).
This unit is part of a well-established farming business specialising in semen production for Artificial Insemination.
The ideal candidate will need to have excellent pig-keeping knowledge, be self-motivated and take ownership and responsibility for the enterprise and constantly look for improvements.
The successful candidate will be actively involved with all areas of the boar unit including boar handling and be responsible for ensuring that the condition and welfare of the livestock is maintained at a high standard.
Will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Feeding System, Ventilation system, Pressure washer, Compressors, and Forklift. Training will be provided on the systems.
General upkeep of the site, including grass and weed control.
Normal Working week is 5 days (3 long days and 2 short days), including Saturdays and Public Holidays.
