Role: Experienced Pig Stockman Required – Finishing Unit Role
Rattlerow Farms is one of the largest and longest established, privately owned and entirely independent pig genetics businesses in Europe. The company has over 60 year’s experience, spanning three generations, and has continuously invested in its genetics and high health which has allowed it to make enormous economic gains with producers and also retailers.
You will be working on and managing 2 small finishing unit’s. These are both one man unit’s, so you will responsible for the overall running of the farm’s including, welfare of the pigs, order numbers being achieved, ordering pig food and leasing with senior management. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a bit of pig experience to take on an independent role and become their own boss.
This role requires a minimum of 18 months experience as you will be responsible for overseeing the entire finishing process. The unit already has excellent performance which will need to be maintained and improved where possible.
Rattlerow Farms has recently won the ‘Investor In Training Award,’ at the National Pig awards which is an enormous accolade to the investment they show in each and every individual they employ so there will be external training provided.
All animals are looked after to RSPCA Assured Standards so candidates must have a focus on welfare and enjoy an active job.

– Be able to drive a tractor
– Confident at administrating vaccines (Med Vet Qualification)

– Driving licence
– People who have no exposure to other pig farms
