The Ian Mosey Group is a reputable and successful family owned animal feed manufacturer and livestock operation based in North Yorkshire.  Ian Mosey (Livestock) Ltd. is a breeder and finisher of pigs with over 230 farming partners in the North of England.

As a result of our continued growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Farm Compliance Manager to join our small to medium team of forward-thinking technical, operational and field staff.

Our livestock office is based in North Yorkshire, 10 miles north-west of Malton, however the role would be partly field based attending farms in Yorkshire, Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.

The Role

The key focus of this role is to ensure the compliance of our farm base to various industry standards and customer requirements.
Your responsibilities will include supporting farmers at an administrative level, ensuring farming practices are carried out at a high standard and chaperoning auditors and customers during farm audits
You will liaise with our auditing bodies and customers to ensure audits are planned and carried out in line with their schedule
You would be responsible for developing systems and writing procedure documents to ensure the effective management of compliance across the farm base
You will be involved in communication regarding technical matters with customers, suppliers and industry & government bodies

Crucial to the success of this role will be the building of relationships with our farmers, auditing bodies, customers and suppliers.

Key Requirements

Experience of working in a technical or commercial environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a variety of stakeholders
A broad understanding of farming methods and systems or practical farm experience is preferred but not essential
A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects under tight deadlines
Ability to recognise and solve practical problems
Competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
Ability to learn procedures and systems quickly and be able to adapt and develop these as required.
