Role:                              Assistant Manager – Pig Sales

Location:                      Home-based, but travel nationwide as required

Salary:                           Dependent upon experience


As Assistant Manager in Pig Sales, you will work closely alongside the National Pig Sales Manager and the UK Sales team. You will develop relationships with both new and existing customers to increase turnover. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate (Animal Nutrition or related field)  and is a fantastic opportunity for both personal and career development.


Key Responsibilities:

·        Develop solid working relationships with pig farmers and actively represent the company

·        Be the main point of contact for all customer enquiries and sales

·        Develop existing territory to increase customers and sales

·        Provide technical advice, which may include regular site visits

·        Work with the nutritionist to improve herd health and diet

·        Work with production suppliers, planning and transport teams to ensure best customer service

·        Attend industry pig events/shows as required

·        Supporting the Finance team when dealing with debtors

·        Share knowledge and support colleagues as part of the UK sales team

·        Supporting and introducing new company products to market



·        Strong understanding of the pig sector and pig nutrition

·        Excellent communicator, both written and verbal

·        Strong self-motivation to learn with a desire to succeed

·        Proven ability to develop business relationships and increase sales
