Most common breaches of IPPC
Here are the most common IPPC breaches since April this year.
The data supplied by the Environment Agency covers both pig and poultry units. There are 181 pig and 865 poultry farms with IPPC permits. The data includes farms that are in the IPPC farm assurance scheme and as well as those that are not.
IPPC guidance: Is your site right?
1. Containment of stored materials
- EXAMPLE
Inadequate bunding around fuel, liquid feed tanks and wash-down areas.

Poor manure and slurry storage.

2. Activities not specified by the permit
- EXAMPLE
Overstocking, improvement conditions not complied with, site and/or drainage plan not accurate eg. additional structures present.
